Melissa Frank

General Counsel

Melissa serves as the chief legal and risk executive with experience in managing legal disputes, commercial contracts, and risk mitigation in Computer Hardware, Software, Retail Commerce, and Alternative Energy industries. She has particular experience in managing legal departments to reduce cost and improve efficiencies and outcomes.

Melissa is a native of Silicon Valley and was raised in the emerging world of technology. Before Wintec she consulted as Counsel for SunPower Corporation, manufacturer of the world’s most efficient commercially produced solar modules. Prior to SunPower she worked at Texas Instruments by way of it’s merger with National Semiconductor and managed much of the legacy legal affairs related to National Semiconductor and its long history in Silicon Valley. Melissa is a member of the Sedona Conference, Working Group One which focuses on litigation and dispute resolution and its interface with technology and discovery and she is respected as a leader in the field of litigation management, cost effectiveness, and technology selection.

Melissa received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in Interdisciplinary Studies and completed and undergraduate thesis on the intersection Germ Line Genetics and Eugenics with a minor in Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy. Melissa received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings and was a board member of the Hastings Intellectual Property Organization as well as member of the Hastings Communications and Entertainment Law Journal. She is a member of the California Bar.
